The forest Rocconi is a nature reserve WWF, located in high Valley of Albegna between the towns of Roccalbegna and Semproniano. The forest is located in a sparsely populated, with strong age-old traditions, which have contributed to maintaining this area of earthly paradise. In the area there are also numerous caves and cavities, among which stands out the most famous and important Crepaccio of Rocconi. The reserve is mainly composed of dense woods, especially in the northern part, while in southern flora believe this consists mainly from olive trees, green lawns and small fallow pastures. As for wildlife, there are some rare species of diurnal birds of prey like the eagle and lanario. In there are also some species of turtles, as that particular named Hermann. Apart from the rare presence of the wolf, there are many species included in what specialists call "red list", ie the list of varieties of mammals and other species of animals which are protected by the Berne Convention.
